Terms & Conditions – Haider & Son Electrical

Commencement of Works & Deposits

Work commencement dates will be allocated upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit.

Deposits are only refundable if cancellation or rescheduling is requested with more than 48 hours' notice. Depending on the project duration and program of works, Haider & Son Electrical reserves the right to retain amounts from the deposit to cover lost workdays. Payment of the deposit constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of all terms and conditions outlined herein.

Payment Structures & Programming

Payment structures will be determined based on the number of visits and programming requirements for the completion of works. If Haider & Son Electrical is not explicitly instructed to handle work sequencing and programming, the responsibility falls on the party instructing the works.

Aborted Visits & Re-visit Fees

Haider & Son Electrical reserves the right to charge for aborted visits and re-visit fees if work areas are not available as instructed. Such fees will not exceed £300 per engineer per day.

Ownership of Materials

All materials supplied by Haider & Son Electrical remain the property of Haider & Son Electrical until all outstanding balances are paid in full.

Disputes & Certification

Disputes regarding completed works, costs, additions, or variations must be made in writing before the receipt of certification. No disputes will be accepted after certification is issued, in accordance with BS 7671 Regulation 644.1.

Safety & Compliance

All works will be carried out in compliance with the Electricity at Work Act (Statutory Document).

Haider & Son Electrical reserves the right to energize or de-energize systems in the interest of safety. Engineering judgment will override any program, sequence, or instruction if safety concerns arise, prioritizing life, harm prevention, and risk management.

Variations & Additional Works

Any variations or additional works will be subject to an extension of the initial agreed program.

Cost estimates for variations or additions can be provided upon request.

If no prior cost request is made, charges will align with the original estimate, subject to labor and material requirements. Out-of-hours work (before or after Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30) will be subject to additional charges.

Invoices & Late Payments

All invoices are due upon receipt.

Late payment reminders will incur a £45 administrative fee.

Outstanding balances are subject to a 6% daily increase for up to 14 days. Notice will be given.

If full payment, including accrued interest, is not made within 14 days, Haider & Son Electrical will take necessary legal action to recover the debt. Additional interest may be applied in accordance with the recovering party's terms.

Workmanship & Warranties

All workmanship is guaranteed for one year.

Manufacturer warranties on supplied items exceeding one year remain valid; however, labor costs for replacement after the first year will be chargeable.

The replacement of parts under warranty is subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.

Waste Management

All waste generated during works will remain on-site unless otherwise instructed.

If waste removal is required, it must be explicitly requested, and associated costs must be agreed upon before removal.
